Suggested hikes and other activities with a 3yo in Merlin/Grants Pass OR?

My 3yo and I will have two full days in the Merlin (Grants Pass) area. I saw information about ScienceWorks down in Ashland which looks great. Can anyone suggest outdoor activities with a 3yo in the Merlin/Grants Pass area? Any river activities that would be appropriate for his age?

Thanks in advance!
- Kathy

The Hellgate Jet Boats that leave from the Riverside Inn boat dock are lots of fun in Grants Pass. They offer lunch and dinner excurstions and a Quick N Scenic excursion that is lots of fun. The Riverside Inn is a nice place to stay, very affordable and all rooms have river views, great outdoor pool there, also. ***kim***

wildlife images is an animal rescue place in Merlin. I went with my daughter on a school trip and it was enjoyable. I think a 3 year old would probably like it.

Both of these ideas are fantastic! Exactly the type of things I was looking for. I kept seeing ads for jet boats, but none allowed young kids. Hellgate does! Wildlife images sounds really great too. I saw this link before, but didn't imagine "images" meant a rescue place. Perfect!

Thanks so much!!

We really enjoyed Hellgate Jetboats.

You are not far from Oregon Caves National Monument.
The lodge there is great too. It is called Oregon Cave Chateau.

There is a treehouse resort in that area also. They have like 20 different treehouses that you spend the night in. I think they have ziplines too. I haven't stayed there, but noticed it online and it looked cool.

@spirobulldog: I looked into the treehouse resort, looked great! But they're completely booked for the season. Thanks for the tip on Oregon caves!
