Six Flags or Cedar Point

Any opinions on which is better - Six Flags or Cedar Point? I have 2 girls 7 & 12 and don't want to overwhelm them, but still want to have a good time.
Also, do you know of any discount ticket sites?

If you love roller coasters that are fast and furious, then Cedar Point gets my vote. Which Six Flags are you interested in visiting? The one in Gurnee is perfect for your girl's ages. It has some fast and furious but also some fun and cute. Love the carousel at the entrance. In addition, it has a water park. St. Louis in my opinion is a bit blah. I haven't seen any discount tickets yet. They seem to pop up at various grocery stores and fast food outlets after Memorial Day.

Cedar Point has the best coasters anywhere, but your girls are just a little young. Don't miss it when the time is right.

We're looking at Six flags in Gurnee. I know it has gone through a bankruptcy and don't know the condition of the park coming out of it.

A report on the Cedar Point trip. The girls had an absolute ball. The 7 year old was "shaken up" a bit on the first roller coaster ride, but after that she was the first in line. And also won a lifesize monkey at the arcade. They spent a lot of time during the day in the water park, but closed the park 3 nights in a row. We took a cooler with pop and sandwiches and went out to the car each day for a picnic. Other than some rehydration during the day the food bill was very low. Crowds weren't too bad either.

TravelGram, we took our kids to Cedar Point a few (well, more than a few!) years ago. We got in line for the first roller coaster --- my daughter had never been on a "big" one before. I stayed with them even though there was no way I was going to go on the ride, because I was sure she would bail at the front of the line. No Way! She loved it and she was a total roller coaster fanatic after that. We were only there one day (and one day at Soak City) but we went on almost every coaster they had at the time. Great place.
