Should I stay at Monte Carlo Resort in Vegas
Hello all I know their are a number of post regarding this however I have seen any directed to honeymoon couples or just husband and wife is this a good place to stay?

We (couple in our 30s) stayed there last summer for a long weekend and liked it a lot. The hotel doesn't have a theme, so there weren't hoardes of people in the lobby or casino. The pool did seem popular with families (we had a view of it from our room). The beds were comfortable and the towels were large and fluffy (my hotel criteria!)

Honeymoons in vegas are deserving of a better resort property than Monte Carlo. In a word, it's BORING. Depending on when you go, you can most probably get a room at Mandalay or Bellagio for approximately the same price, and it's much more "romantic" if vegas is romantic??

It's a middle of the road property as far as the strip goes. The fact that you used the word "resort" in your title leads me to think you might be setting yourself up for disappointment being a honeymoon. There's nothing wrong with it, but not in the same league as Bellagio, MB, Caesars, Venetian... Occupancy in Vegas is down in March so you might be able to get some good deals on the high end properties depending on when your honeymoon is. I've been getting mailers from Mandalay for $99 weeknights.

If you want a great resort, just outside of the city but easily reachable in 10 min by car, definitely go to the JW Marriott in Summerlin. Gorgeous rooms, beautiful pool, not crowded, VERY user-friendly casino with much better odds than the strip & lower minimums.

Though I really liked the casino and the room was fine, the pool area was not great (this was in late April a few years ago). The pools themselves were lots of fun (there was a wave pool, a lazy river, and a couple other pools) but the people hanging out by the pool were extremely loud (mainly 20-yr old surgically altered nearly naked strippers on cell phones and screaming kids - what a combination!) It was a popular pool area...very difficult to find chairs. But...like I said, the casino was very good. It wasn't crowded and the dealers were very friendly.
