Seeking South Florida beachfront resort for special anniversary

Could anyone recommend a South Florida beachfront resort that would be appropriate for a special anniversary? We will be arriving in 2 weeks. Seeking a hotel more couples oriented than families oriented that might provide quiet, relaxation, beauty, etc. Would prefer to be on the ocean. Thank you ahead of time for any advice you could offer!

I would highly recommend Turnberry Isle Resort in Aventura, FL (just south of Ft. Lauderdale). This is a luxury resort that is very upscale--very few children. The grounds are beautiful--nice pool area, two golf courses on site, excellent service, large rooms. It is a very relaxing place. It is not ON the beach, but is a 5 minute shuttle ride from their own beach club on the beach--with a pool, snack bar, towel/chair service. It is also close to shopping...within walking distance of the Aventura Mall. This is one of my favorite resorts in the country.

I believe that Isle of Palms in the FL Keys doesn't allow children under 16 and is very quiet, relaxing, and beautiful from all I've heard of it altho I don't have first hand knowledge.

SaraLou, I think you mean Little Palm Island and you are correct, they do not allow (thank goodness) children under 16.

Ritz-Carlton (Naples), Delano (South Beach), Breakers (Palm Beach), Boca Raton Resort and Club (Boca), are just a few to get you started.
