Sealodge recommendations - Kauai

Hello again Hawaii forum

I'm looking hard at the Sealodge for our accommodations on the north shore. Can anyone recommend particular units? What are the best websites to find units? I've been on VRBO but there seem to be other sites. We want a view and comfortable temperature but otherwise don't need anything fancy.

Thanks!

I looked over your other post 'First time Hawaii advice' and my favorite island is Kauai. I have been 4 times and will be making my 5th trip in two weeks! I am in love with Kauai's North Shore and every stay has been at the Sealodge. Our last stay was last September and the weather was perfect! Not too hot (but I do hail from Texas), sunny & dry. Our May 2011 trip had a little too much rain but I think it was a fluke. Our last full day there was a disturbance over the entire island.

A magician never reveals their secret but I guess I'll bend the rule...!
I use: http://www.hestara.com/index.html to book a Sealodge unit.
Email is at the bottom of the page; Geri will get back to you, she's nice & easy to work with; $250 down the rest is due 30 days before arrival.

Here is an aerial view of the units for best views: http://www.hawaiirevealed.com/free-t...-area/sealodge
The C & D have best views and the J have views of the lighthouse. My favorite unit is in the B building and it still has great views despite being further back than C or D.

Another website, I used once, is: http://kauai-vacations-ahh.com/kauai...-kauai.htm#anc

You must get this book: http://www.amazon.com/The-Ultimate-K...auai+guidebook

I frequent the board so if you have any other Kauai questions, just ask!

SeaLodge is very nice not overly fancy and views are wonderful...You have some good websites to look at. You might search for SongDoc on this forum as he always stays there and he goes a couple of times a year for lengthy stays. He loves SeaLodge....

great spot in all regards. older condos, find for the ones with ocean view on the cliff side. worth the search and trade winds coming through. Family from outer islands and guests have stayed there.
