San Francisco View Bars?

We're headed back to SF next month and I'm wondering what good "view" bars are left. I know the Top of the Mark--great views but kind of worn the last time I was there (maybe 5 years ago?). Has it been refurbished? The Fairmont doesn't have a "top" bar anymore I don't think and I understand the Carnelian Room closed last year. Sir Francis Drake I'm aware of. Are there any others that anyone can suggest? Thanks.

We went to Top of the Mark in 2008 to have drinks and soak in the views on the last night of our trip. We ended up having a drink and dessert. We were very pleased with the fare and the view.

Hey, it's really funny you posted that R5. We were invited to go to go there, and don't know anything about it. Have you heard anything more?

Thanks a lot, everyone, for the great suggestions. I haven't been to any of those you mentioned. Maybe we'll have to do a tour!

if you go to medjool ONLY get drinks -0 food is awful. We had to send two dishes back - one with spoiled lamb and one with spoiled fish. On a weekend night!

I so agree, sf7307. And I even enjoy the plaza behind the Ferry Bldg., good views of boats on the bay and watching the ferries arrive and depart.

We did end up going to Medjool, and it was a fabulous view from the rooftop. We had a few of the appetizers at the event and they were quite good. There was a mascarpone and fig that was really memorable. The one drawback I saw was that this place is a ways from the bustle of nightlife and it took a while for cabs to show up, despite the restaurant and us calling.
