Assuming you mean the Lakers, it's not easy at all. There are usually a couple hundred high-level seats available. There are also a few lower-level tickets, but singles (no two seats together). There is a better chance of getting tickets for weeknight games against mediocre opponents. Staples Center has basically two levels, but there are three stories of luxury boxes between the two main seating areas. Thus the cheap seats are way up there. Look at the arena and prices at:
http://www.nba.com/lakers/arena.html
And find about availability at:
http://www.ticketmaster.com/
Ticket agencies all around L.A. have tickets for all games at all price levels. The markup varies, but figure at least 200%--say $150 for a $55 ticket. The ticket agencies advertise in the Los Angeles Times on both sports pages and on the first page of the classified ads. Absolute Tickets and Murray's Tickets come to mind--both big outfits in L.A. Tickets for Clipper games are both cheaper and readily available. The Clippers rarely draw over 11,000, and the upper deck is rarely even open. A good seat can be had for about $30.
The drive on a weeknight from San Diego might take as long as four hours, a little less than three on a weekend.

Some of the info above is incorrect. The Clippers used to play some home games at the Pond, but since Staples opened, all of their home games are in Los Angeles, except for a preseason game. The Lakers never played home games in Anaheim. After thinking about it a little, I think your best bet is to pick a weekend game, search Ticketmaster, and try for a single seat; I think you probably can get a decent seat. Keep in mind that sections 300 and up are upstairs, 2** downstairs. By going on a weekend, you won't have as many traffic hassles.
