Sacramento Hotel

Looking for up-to-date recommendations for hotels close to the Sacramento Convention Center - no need for search parameters, just need suggestions based on personal experience in the past couple of years

Thank you so much Michelle and Janis - all great suggestions, hard to choose, but at least they are all excellent possibilities and locations!

How about a few months ago recent experiences?

We've stayed at The Hyatt, Sheraton and Citizen all within a few mos and all are outstanding hotels with great customer service.

The Hyatt and Sheraton are much closer to the Convention Center than The Citizen.

No probs.

If you have a car, when we stay at the Hyatt or Sheraton we self park at the lot across the street from the Sheraton at Jst/13th (900 13th St) and save a few $$$

When we stay at The Citizen we self park at the garage kiddy-corner to the hotel. City Hall Garage at 10th between J and I Streets.

Across the street from City Hall at the NW corner of 10th & H is my favorite HI hostel. It is a Victorian mansion. It has private rooms in addition to the dorm rooms. The bathrooms are "down the hall" except for the River City Suite which has a handicapped bathroom.
