rv from denver to vancouver late jan a good idea?
My wife and I are planning a ski / sight seeing trip flying from Sydney to LA, then by car to Colorado to meet up with friends for 2 weeks, after that we would love to drive possibly in an RV from Denver to Vancouver.
Is this a feasible idea? expensive? How difficult is it to travel the distance in an RV and staying overnight wherever takes our fancy, can it be that flexible, or is booking ahead essential, keeping in mind ive never driven a vehicle that big, and we have poor snow conditions in Australia to practice on.
Also any suggested places not to be missed?
Thanks for all your help.

In a word: NO!
"keeping in mind ive never driven a vehicle that big, and we have poor snow conditions in Australia to practice on."
Seriously, you really aren't thinking about doing this, are you?
Driving an RV in the mountains in good weather is hard enough without experience. Driving in winter through snowy mountains is hard enough.
The two together..not a good combo. Do yourself a favor, plan the trip using other means of transportation. IMHO

1) do you mean Van. Canada or Van. Washington state??
2) The is the middle of winter - not the best time to be driving in the mountains in an RV even if you had a lot of experience. Mountain roads/ice is not the place to learn.
3) one-way RV rentals cost a fortune (and may not be possible if you meant Canada)
