Romantic Restaurant in Providence, RI

Looking for a romantic restaurant in Providence for boyfriend's birthday. Any suggestions?

Hey mlynnhvt, it's me again.

I did a text search for you while you were reposting, and this sounded like it was worthy to explore...

Rue de l'Espoir on Hope Street on the East Side. There's also a nice restaurant on top of the Biltmore Hotel in the downtown area.

Any specific type of food that you prefer? I love seafood and Heminways is wonderful but not really romantic.

This website is great. It has reviews of the restaurants and also for some of the restaurants links to their menus. www.tasteri.com

Also, if you can schedule for a night that Water Fire is on that would be very romantic. I don't know if you are aware of it but it is a beautiful display where they light fires on the Providence River and have music playing as well. Their site with schedule - http://www.waterfire.org/

Have Fun! There are a lot of great restaurants to choose from.

Not sure if it's too late, but I would recommend New Rivers on Steeple St. We recently went for our wedding anniversary, and it was the perfect combination of great atmosphere and even better food.

New RIvers is overpriced and food isn't that great. my vegetarian cobbler (aka pot pie) came out burnt on the top (that was about after, I'd say, more than 1/2 of waiting, after ordering.) I didn't want to ask for another pot pie and wait again. For a restaurant such as New Rivers, I would have thought that high standards would've prevent them from bringing out a burnt cobbler.
