Took this trip back in March. Stayed overnight at Stovepipe Wells Village. Got dehydrated and sick, and had to start late for Day 2. Also couldn't make it back to L.A., so stayed another night in Barstow to rest.
But DV is more interesting and fascinating than I had expected.

Nikki - My sister likes that little guy in #27 instead.
As for the crow, the focusing and capturing speed is amazing on the 7D. I doubt I could have gotten the bird-in-flight picture with my older 40D.

Nice pics. I too didn't expect much from DV, but found it to be much better than I had anticipated. It isn't my favorite park, but this park gave more far more than I had thought it would, more so than any other NP. We were there on first week of Jan a couple of years ago. Did you happen to see any pupfish?
