Restaurant Recs Near El Capitan Theatre in LA?

Jump to last reply

My 10 yr old son, 71 yr old mom, and I will be visiting LA next week. We're planning to see a show at Disney's El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Blvd Wednesday night. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good restaurant near (ish) the theatre?

My son is a true San Francisco kid. He's a very adventurous eater and has impeccable restaurant manners. I'm looking for something good, preferably within walking distance. I realize that may not be the neighborhood for such a beast but I'm hopeful that one of you will know of a hidden gem! Mel's and Hard Rock aren't of interest not because we don't like burgers but because I would expect the food to be crap. (if I'm wrong, please let me know!)

Thanks all.
