Recommendation for boating company on Colorado River in Canyonlands?

Our family of 4 (2 small kids) will be going to Canyonlands next week and we'd like a half-day flat-water trip. What recommendations do you have regarding a company providing this service?

Sherri Griffith sometimes has family trips for kids specifically. For just a half day, you should be fine with most operators.

The only half day trips I could find start in Page Arizona.

Look in Moab tom.

There are several companies that do half day trips out of Moab. We haven't done it yet so I can't recommend one, but if you google Moab rafting you will find them. Some offer lunch, and there are options of am or pm. When I was looking for information a while ago, I noticed that many started up near Fisher towers and put out before you got into Canyonlands NP.

I did one long ago with Tag-a-along that had lunch. And started down river from town and went into Canyonlands.

Check out Moab Adventure Center - http://www.moabadventurecenter.com/trips/jetboat/

They have a number of options; we did a 3-hour jetboat tour. The captain stopped frequently to point out landmarks and tell interesting stories.

on the NPS site for Canyonlands, it looks like you can only do full day trips through the Park. But all of the outfitters on that page run trips out of Moab. So check them out to see what half day trips they run on the Colorado--up or down river from Moab. Not sure if they do flat water trips--you will have to see.

The jetboat tour we took did go into Canyonlands a bit. One stop was below Dead Horse Point, where Thelma and Louise drove their car off the cliff. The next day, we drove up there to get a view from the top of where we were in the boat.

(Just to clarify, I know that Dead Horse is not Canyonlands - was a stop only during the course of the tour. Sorry for any confusion.)
