Raleigh/Durham drive to Myrtle Beach
This summer the family will be flying in to RDU and driving to Myrtle Beach. Would like to know the quickest route to take. We will be heading out on a Monday(7/10) at 7/7:30 am. Thanks in advance for responses

Take I-40 to I-95 and exit I-95 to SC 38.
SC 38 dead ends at 501 and head east. When you see the signs for Hwy 17, go North and turn left at 29th Avenue North and the entrance will be your first left (at light) and then your firs left again.
Depending upon traffic 2 1/4 to 2 3/4 hours.

camrynsma,
here's what I'd do. (By the way, we drove from our home in MB--about 10 minutes north of where you're staying--to Raleigh for a wedding last month, and I made it in almost exactly 3 hours.)
First of all, take I-40 East to Wilmington. There you'll take quite a few turns to get you onto Highway 17 (Wilmington is just now building a bypass, not yet completed).
These directions from mapquest will get you through Wilmington and to Little River SC (on Hwy 17).

Once in Little River, head south on 17 and veer right when you see the signs for Highway 9 (West). Go approx. 3 miles on Highway 9 and then exit right onto Highway 31 (may also be called Carolina Bays Parkway on the signs).
Take 31 approx 10 miles until you see the exit for Grissom Parkway, take that exit. Go approx 1 mile on Grissom Parkway and exit right onto Highway 17 By-Pass, South. That puts you about 2 miles away from Broadway at the Beach.
You could stay on 17 in Little River and go all the way through North Myrtle Beach, but it's quite congested. Whereas Highway 31 is an awesome 60MPH (and 70 is okay) six-lane divided highway, with no stoplights.
Happy motoring!

Holy crap,
what did my url do to the display of this post?!?
Anyway,
GoTravel's route is a decent one. I have driven it too. I've just found that putting the hammer down on I-40 got me there a little quicker.
YMMV.
