Valdez and Seward Tours

We will be in both areas in late June and early July, 2 days in Valdez and 3 in Seward, is it necessary to make glacier/wildlife viewing reservations now (with toursaver) or can we do it when we get there?

You can do it when you get there, but because you're going in June/July, you may want to make reservations because that is an extremely busy time of year.
The tours out of Seward are wonderful.

When we were there late June, we made reservations for the Kenai Fjords trip out of Seward the night before we wanted to go. There were still seats left. It may have helped that we went mid-week. We did not use the toursaver.

If you are using the toursaver make your reservations soon. Only limited number of spaces are available to those using the toursaver coupons.

Definately book your Kenai Fjords tour with Renown before you go, they run smaller boats than the other companies and will definately be sold out some days. Stan Stephens isn't as "sold out" based on past experience, but I would still reserve ahead using toursaver coupons.

You don't absolutely need to reserve Kenai Tours in advance.

You can stay on the island overnight which is a great time. That requires advance reservations.

Seward is ok but the drive from Anchorage is spectaculor. There is a restaurant half way that I can't remember the name of that overlooks a glacier. And has homemade pies! umm

If you are using the toursaver coupon, I still strongly suggest advance reservations for Kenai Fjords boat tours.
