August will probably be too late. Here's info from last year.

There might still be rafting in August this year since we have had a really wet Winter/Spring. But don't count on it.

Or take an inflatable raft and have one parent meet you at the destination point. The river might be more like a slow meandering creek by then so safe to do.

It really is worthwhile. Views you can only see while floating down the Merced river.

We tube on the Hudson with we can't raft. This tells you where you can rent them.

Thanks all. Any other recommended hikes, cycle rides or activities in Yosemite? We're there for 4 nights.

There is a bike trail in the valley that's almost flat, so easy--fun and scenic.

The hike up the mist trail to Vernal Falls was a favorite of ours. Fighting off squirrels and jays who wanted our picnic lunch at the falls is a fun memory.
