July and August usually have the least rainfall and highest temperatures. http://www.usclimatedata.com/climate...tates/usor0275
Come over to Bend if you want 300 days a year of sunshine.
Mt Bachelor just announced that they will be open for skiing until April 28. They still have over 100" of snow.

My daughter and family live in Portland, and the summers can be brutally hot and uncomfortable as few places have air conditioning. Our daughter's family always end up spending a lot of time in the summer along the coast where it is considerably cooler.
I would recommend going in the spring when all the flowers and trees are in full bloom.

Mid August til mid September is usually the best weather, if you are talking about being reliably dry.
Nanabee--living here I do not know one person who does not have central ac. It has become much warmer in recent years and is definitely not like it was when I was a kid growing up here. Even then though my parents had a window ac unit as early as 1972.
