Please help traveling from Oklahoma City to Tucson

Hello, Im in the middle of traveling and got stuck in Oklahoma City. Im trying to make it to Tucson but the I-40 is closed because of the weather. I need to get to tucson as soon as possible but I don't know of any alternate routes. my flight got canceled so i have gotten a rental car and flying is no longer an option. If you have any information on any options i have please let me know. thanks b_rad

Can you make it south to I-20 to I-10 and go through El Paso?
The Amtrak option is to make it to the San Antonio Amtrak station by 2AM tomorrow (350 Hoefgen St).
The Texas Eagle/Sunset Ltd. leaves at 2:45AM. 18 hours and the fare is $218 for a coach seat. Arrives Tucson 7:45PM MT tomorrow.

There are many travelers stuck in airports with these winter storms. Can't you wait it out? That drive can be difficult. I-10 is your best bet if you can get there.

Hopefully you're on the road by now, but if not, keep checking road conditions. I-40 is open again.

Any bets on when or if b_radd will check in again?
The Sunset Limited arrived 1 hour 40 minutes late at Alpine TX today. They are expecting to be only 15 minutes late to Tucson 8PM MT. I'd rather be on the train than trying to drive through west Texas and New Mexico today.

Central and western NM is in pretty good shape, but I wouldn't enjoy driving through eastern NM today.
