Pigeon Forge/Galtinburg Foods

My wife and I are going to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area in August. Were is the best place to go for biscuts and gravy? Does any place have fried green tomatos? Any info would be welcomed.
Thanks. Johnw996

Probably for consistency The Cracker Barrel has the best biscuits and gravy.
We like breakfast at The Applewood in Pigeon Forge/Sevierville. Also in Pigeon Forge is the Old Mill. We have only been to The Old Mill for lunch, but it is good country cooking and I would imagine good breakfasts as well.

If you want a fast food biscuit and gravy, you can't beat Hardee's.

We haven't happened upon fried green tomatoes except at Dollywood. And, that was only during the fall of the year when they have The Harvest Celebration. If someone knows of a place with fried green tomatoes, I could chow down on some myself.

john, where are you staying?

Another place we like is called The Log Cabin Pancake House. It is located on the left at the end of the parkway before you start into Gatlinburg. We usually go for lunch and they have a very small, very good country buffet. They always have fried chicken and country ham and peach cobbler on the buffet.

Thanks for your replies. My wife and I did reserve a cabin for August. Its not on top of a mountain because I do not like heights but its a nice cabin. My wife loves biscuts and gravy and shes always wanted to try fried green tomatos. Thanks for all your info. We cant wait to make the trip down.
Thanks. John.

OT-my first visit to this area followed a one week stay in a very small Mexican village. After two days, I realized I'd brought a bug home from Mexico and needed to seek treatment at the local urgent care. The doctor gave me the requested Cipro, then suggested I refrain from fried foods. I said, "Where might one do that in these parts?" He just hung his head and said, "Good luck."

Someone just told DH about this place. We didn't know about it, but will try it next time we are in the area. Said they had Sunday Brunch and it was fabulous.
