Overnight layover in Miami-which hotel?

Overnight layover in Miami-which hotel?
We will be arriving in Miami around 10:30 pm and leaving the next morning at 6:30. I was looking at Priceline to see if we could get a reasonablly priced hotel for the night, but many if not all get terrible reviews especially their shuttle service. Not sure about hotels a bit farther away, such as the downtown area. Have even considered sleeping in the airport. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
