I am attempting to get tickets for my sisters for Wicked as a Christmas gift. I found orchestra row B tickets on the aisle. They have them on the left of the stage (seats 1&3) and the right of the stage (seats 2&4). Which are better seats when you are that close? Is it better to sit to the left or the right? Has anyone experienced both? Thanks so much!!

No seats for that play are good when they are that close to the stage. I really don't like sitting that close,. The show is just too big to take in that close, and this is the biggest Broadway theater. I had a similar experience when I saw "O" in Las Vegas from the 3rd row. But that's about half the size of Wicked. There's a reason why these tickets are available (they may even be limited view seats).
Agree that with any of those seats the view of the show will likely be quite limited. You want to be in at least row 8 or 10 to get a decent view of a large stage.
I would get tickets for farther out - so you can get good seats.
Row B is the 7th row
That is very close. Many say row H center is the beat seat in the house. I use that as a rule of thumb. Wicked IS a big show in a big theater. Having said that there is no big production number that has "form" in which a seat further back gives you a better perspective. I'd be happy with a seat that close. I've had a seat that close and loved it. I'd choose to sit in the left as you are facing the stage. The action in the entire show is centered except for two small elements. I'd rather see what's going on the right (lasts about 3 seconds) vs a lead's entrance you may miss on the left. Otherwise everything that is important that happens on the stage is visible up close from a far edge seat. I've seen the show many many times. If you can get a center seat about 8 rows back, that would be prime. Otherwise i think your sister would be happy with her gift.
Starrs knows the show better then half the cast. I would heed her advice above all here.
I sat in the front row, directly behind the orchestra leader, LOL. I was one seat off of the aisle, but the woman in that seat (to my left) could see a bit more action than I could. Just that little bit made a difference. I think sitting several rows back would have been much more enjoyable.
First mezzanine seats are better than any orchestra seat in this house. This is almost always true of any show that has 'flying' anything. We recently saw 'Newsies' and were so happy to have seats in the first mezzanine as much of the production numbers were performed on scaffolding.
Ooops! I didn't sit behind the orchestra leader. That was another show. (I have an unfortunate track record of sitting in the front row lately.) I was further to the right, but the rest is accurate. The person to my left was next to the aisle.
