North Truro, Ma
Looking for a recommendation for the best seafood restaurant within a reasonable driving distance of North Truro. My husband and I will only have 2 nights to have dinner so want to make the best choice.
We prefer a place that doesn't serve just fried foods. We are from Upstate NY and have never been to the Cape.
Thanks so much in advance for your help.

LOTS of choices in Provincetown about 5 miles away.

My favorites are the Lobster Pot (even if people call it touristy) and the patio at Bubala's.
Also consider the Mews and Ciro & Sal's.

From North Truro it is a very short hop to Provincetown, you do not even have to get on a highway. And shortly you are in Provincetown withall the great seafood and cool vibe there.
Personally, I would not fret so much about the perfect restaurant. Just park and stroll around and find a seafood place on the water and go for it. We were there for a week in summer of 2013 and again summer. 2014 and had no trouble strolling around and finding great fresh seafood to eat. We prefer the places right on the water.

No view, but I like the Mac's seafood restaurants. There is a Mac's in Provincetown and a Mac's Shack in Wellfleet. For a casual picnic table lunch outside with your feet in the sand, look at Mac's on the Pier in Wellfleet (this one has nice views).

The mention of Wellfleet reminded me of the drive-in -

I've often eaten at the two Mac's in Wellfleet but haven't been to the newish Provincetown one. Surprised that it is not on par with the others. But they do have an oyster happy hour, which the ones in Wellfleet don't have.
