New York & Cruise

I want to go to New York from Manchester...stay a few days in New York then take a 7 day cruise to Bermuda...back to New York and then fly home...
Can you suggest a good firm that I can get this from please?

You should be looking at a local supplier in the UK to do this. It's unlikely an american company would provide this type of service. (You could of course buy a cruise through a US company but from what I've seen prices in the UK are usually cheaper.)

I don't know why she would need a local supplier in the UK to book a cruise from NY to Bermuda and return. She can book her own flights and hotels, so as far as I can tell, only needs the cruise.

Check one of the online cruise agents for cruises from NY to Bermuda.

Check cruisecritic.com for information and reviews of cruises , both by professional reviewers and people who have taken cruises. However, I don't believe any advertising for particular agents is allowed on the site.

>>I am in the United Kingdom not United States as itsays in my first message…quite sure what you are trying to say. Did you expect your thread to be tagged for the UK? You are asking about travel within the US and a cruise to Bermuda so nothing actually to d w/ the UK.

Also not sure - are you looking for a company that does tours of NYC linked to a cruise to Bermuda?

I don't think there is such an animal.

There are lots of cruise lines that do the 7 day round trip to Bermuda from NYC. Post a question on the cruise board and you will get more answers from people who have done it and can advise on which are better.

Yes,but there are a number of companies in the UK - including Thomas Cook - that do cheap air/hotel packages to NY. She could buy that and then the cruise separately.

Ah, I see, nytraveler, you are suggesting she buy a package tour to NYC, than buy a cruise?

If you opt to do this, check carefully to make sure you are saving money on the package. I find that packages tell you "$3000 value for $2000) but the add in all sorts of things that may not interest you, like a "city tour" which they value at hundreds of dollars.

ONE (of several) sites: http://www.royalcaribbean.co.uk

you can book everything through them or you can mix and match on your own and this includes a cruise to Bermuda.

No - they're not package tours to NYC. It's just air and hotel together - giving a bargain price on both.

I'm not familiar with the details but just note that many travelers from the UK mention Thomas Cook as providing very cheap flights out of Man (much less than from the US to the the UK and many UK to US flights).

It's not a tour - and the hotel may even be optional - but the numbers I have seen are very low.
