New Jersey - Essex County Hotel Needed
My husband and I will be attending a wedding in Maplewood, NJ in November.
Can anyone recommend a nice hotel or quaint B&B in the Essex County (West Orage, Livington, Maplewood, etc?
Any good shopping ideas ... towns, malls, outlets, ect... (other than New York)?
We will be driving up on a Saturday morning from Washington, D.C. and the wedding is on a Sunday.
Thank you for your help!

Hi Katzen.
Not sure of your budget, but the Short Hills Hilton is a lovely luxury hotel right across the street from the upscale Short Hills Mall. Hotel would probably start in the area of $225/night for their basic room - assuming they have rooms available for your specific weekend. 5 minutes from Interstate 78, approx 20-25 minutes to Maplewood.

You wouldn't be far from Short Hills there is a Hyatt Hotel there which is very nice. The Short Hills mall is right across the street it has very upscale stores and some good restaurants. Also not far is Kenilworth Inn in Kenilworth probably about 15 minutes from Maplewood. My friends stay there when they visit this area and it is very nice.

You can also try the Grand Summit in Summit. It is not in Essex, but it is only 10 minutes from Maplewood.
