We are staying here the last week in Jan and another poster said she thought you stayed here 2 yrs ago. If so, what were your impressions? Any suggestions?

Yes, I did. That's been a couple years ago. Since all apartments are individually owned, I'm not sure how they might compare. I liked mine very much, but don't have access now to which one it was -- I remember the owners live in California, but that doesn't narrow it down much. The only major complaint I had was that there was only AC in the bedroom, so it was very hot otherwise. I couldn't get cool air through when trying to open all doors and windows.
But the complex was nice, and I LOVED the location, sort of mid island and equal distance from points at either end of the island.

Thanks Patrick. The location is why we choose this complex. It is good to hear you liked it. Our unit only has AC in the bedroom also, but, we don't plan on being there much except to eat some meals and sleep so It will hopefully be ok. We rented vrbo. Again, good to hear you liked the complex and location!, renting is always a shot in the dark.

We used to get a nice breeze from the bay, staying there in winter months. We had a second floor unit near the end farthest from the highway. We didn't stay again after the gas station mini-mart was built; needed to use the BR A/C as white noise.
Close and Lock Your Sliders at Night! I woke after midnight one night to hear someone pounding down the stairs. In the morning the cops were taking a statement from the guests in the third floor unit above ours. A thief had entered through their open sliders, grabbed cash and jewelry, and exited via the front door. (This it true anywhere, but was illustrated for us at WBV. Don't think a thief can't scale balconies!)

cd, you will have a great time seeing the island. It is a lovely place, much prettier in many aspects than all the other islands. You have proabaly seen this, but in case you haven't, this will give a good snapshot of the place where you will be staying.
