Need a romantic lodging accomodation near Seattle

My wife and I are celebrating our 5-year anniversary, and we are looking for places that are outside of Seattle to spend a Friday and Saturday night in the next couple of weeks to escape.

Any thoughts or ideas would be quite helpful.

How far outside of Seattle? 30 minutes or 2 hours?

Colette's near Port Angeles, especially if you can spring for the Spruce or Cedar Suite.

Salish Lodge is right next to Snoqualamie Falls. The dining room overlooks the falls. World class food. Great rooms. A short drive up to the pass for world class mountain scenery.

Another vote for Salish. Also, do a hike to Twin Falls nearby--absolutely gorgeous.

I'd go for a room with an ocean view in Cannon Beach, but that will be hard to find on an August weekend.

I'm surprised at the several votes for Salish Lodge--I don't get that place ever since they remodeled it.

Better, in my view, would be Sun Mountain Lodge outside Winthrop. A really beautiful place--away from the crowds.

Inn at Langley. Lovely rooms right on the water and a world-class restaurant.

This is booked for the next few weekends but perhaps someone else might be interested. DH and I enjoyed three romantic nights here in Port Townsend.

Another vote here for Sun Mountain Lodge. It's stunning.

The Empress in Victoria if you want to go a little farther afield.

We have stayed at Morgan Hill Designs cottage several times, including for anniversaries. Great place!

Inn at Langley. Haven't stayed at Salish or Alberbrook. I hear Salish Lodge is quite expensive.

Also, check out Resort at Port Ludlow.

I haven't stayed at the others that were recommended but we recently stayed at the Alderbrook Resort and LOVED it!
