Need a romantic lodging accomodation near Seattle
My wife and I are celebrating our 5-year anniversary, and we are looking for places that are outside of Seattle to spend a Friday and Saturday night in the next couple of weeks to escape.
Any thoughts or ideas would be quite helpful. |
How far outside of Seattle? 30 minutes or 2 hours?

Salish Lodge

Colette's near Port Angeles, especially if you can spring for the Spruce or Cedar Suite.
|
Salish Lodge is right next to Snoqualamie Falls. The dining room overlooks the falls. World class food. Great rooms. A short drive up to the pass for world class mountain scenery.
|
Another vote for Salish. Also, do a hike to Twin Falls nearby--absolutely gorgeous.
|
I'd go for a room with an ocean view in Cannon Beach, but that will be hard to find on an August weekend.
I'm surprised at the several votes for Salish Lodge--I don't get that place ever since they remodeled it. Better, in my view, would be Sun Mountain Lodge outside Winthrop. A really beautiful place--away from the crowds. |
Inn at Langley. Lovely rooms right on the water and a world-class restaurant.
|
This is booked for the next few weekends but perhaps someone else might be interested. DH and I enjoyed three romantic nights here in Port Townsend.

Another vote here for Sun Mountain Lodge. It's stunning.
The Empress in Victoria if you want to go a little farther afield. |
We have stayed at Morgan Hill Designs cottage several times, including for anniversaries. Great place!
|
Inn at Langley. Haven't stayed at Salish or Alberbrook. I hear Salish Lodge is quite expensive.
Also, check out Resort at Port Ludlow. |
I haven't stayed at the others that were recommended but we recently stayed at the Alderbrook Resort and LOVED it!
