nearest dining to Jackson Hole Airport

I will be flying into Jackson Hole kind of late after flying all day. I have to drive north into Yellowstone. I know I will be starving. What is the closest dining option to the north of the airport? Nothing out of the way. Any kind of food! Thanks

What time are you talking about? If it's too late, you may have few if any options.

You're driving to YS in the dark? Really bad idea. You can get food at Signal Mt in the Tetons until about 11PM - less than an hour north. But I would stay a night in the Jackson area and drive in the daytime. I drove for an hour or so from Jackson Airport (we landed at 9:03PM) to GTNP last week and it was hellish - so many animals in the road and pitch black dark!!

Jackson is just 10 miles away. Drive in and grab a bite to eat. Really. To be that close and not even walk around the square in Jackson

I'd go here -

I agree -- spend the night in Jackson and enjoy the ride and the scenery the next day.

U would suggest stopping at Dorman's, which is very close to the airport on the Teton and in the direction of Yellowstone. If the weather is cooperative, you'll dine al fresco in a beautiful setting.....and still have time make it to Yellowstone before dark.

Have you considered packing a picnic or checking if there will be food for sale on your flight?

Assuming that you can't change (or don't want to) your reservations for your first night in Yellowstone, this is what we did a couple of years ago. We left the airport at 5:20pm, drove to Canyon village (got there about 8:40PM right before dark) after a couple of stops for animal sightings along the way. We bought sandwiches in Salt Lake airport on our layover there to eat on the way. Also assuming you are going this year, there is construction on the road between GTNP and Yellowstone that may impact your timeline. Personally if you still want to go straight to Yellowstone, I wouldn't stop anywhere to eat -- I'd do as above and either eat on the plane or take something with you. You can't really count on flights arriving as planned and it isn't the best idea to drive in the dark -- you miss the scenery and the roads are very dark and you have to worry about the animals as stated above.

Leeks Marina Pizzeria, on Jackson Lake, slightly less than an hour north of the airport, has very good pizza; they also have hot sandwiches and salads. They have an incredible view of the mountains across the lake, and seating on the deck if it's warm enough. We ate there twice last summer - lunch on the way into Yellowstone, and supper on our way back to Jackson. You can look at their menu here:

FYI - the road from GTNP to YS has long delays, the road between Norris and Madison has long delays and the road between Tower and Canyon might not be open yet (still closed last Thursday). If you are staying at Old Faithful you should be OK to get there before dark. But GTNP is gorgeous so try to take some pics! The lakes were still frozen last week and it was stunning.

Colter, Jenny Lake and Signal Mt are open in GTNP. Lots of options for food.
