Moving

I am planning to relocate to Wisconsin state, mabe Green Bay or some nearby areas. I will like some tips how can I go about finding a place to rent. I am looking for a diverse town, community, great schools, shopping experiences, and cutural activities with lots of museums. Looking for somewhere my kids will have fun growing up.

I would recommend Madison or Milwaukee, depending on how large a city you like.

The local newspapers, often available on-line, are one way to find apartments.

Madison is really the only city that has everything you want. Finding a place to rent is the same as anywhere else - start with the newspapers (State Journal, Isthmus) and go from there. I'm sure there are apartment search places, but they're probably geared more to the college crowd. If you're going to move, don't do it mid-May or mid to late August when every student at the U is doing the same thing.

Thank you so much for the tips. I did heard sometime ago that Madison is a very multicutural town which has every thing to offer.I will keep Madison at heart.

Your kids will have fun in spite of where you live.

I find it odd that you would be moving to no particular place. I do not mean that as derogitory but as an observation. Are you rich and have no concerns with money? Are you trying to escape something? If I am on the right track more or less then I advise that you stay put until that all works itself out. Are you displaced from the hurricane or something? Then you might do better than Wisconsin. We have very high taxes, very cold winters and a lot of other negatives.

But if you are determined to come to wisconsin all of what you mention is to be found in the Milwaukee area. I am afraid Madison is iffy. We call it the Peoples Republic of Madison. It is quite small really and mostly a college and State Capital town. Remove those two and it is not much. Are you heavily involved in College and Governmental matters? If so Madison may be to your liking.
I would need to know more about you to advise on rentals/areas.
