We have stayed at the Milburn hotel - the furniture is a bit dated but everything is clean and comfortable. We had a one bedroom suite, bath room and kitchen were small but quite adequate. The bedroom was huge. The living room had a small table and chairs along with the usual sofa and chairs. Lots of inexpensive places to eat close by. This hotel is good value for your $'s in NYC.

I visited friends staying there and I totally agree with SandyBrit's review. The hotel is a really good value and in a great location. Room was large and very comfortable. Yes, decor was outdated but not worn. No view to speak of but very quiet.

Just be aware that often people start talking about the Milburn, when they really mean the Milford, a larger better "known" hotel. Make sure you're getting comments on the right hotel.

Have same comments as SandyBrit et al, and recommend it, although the "good value" is less so since they've increased their rates proportionately as much as most other hotels have. But relatively speaking, you'll do well there. We liked the location a lot and recommend the Greek restaurant on the corner with Broadway if you want a quick lunch or supper nearby.

I agree with the other posters. As far as location/access to restaurants, grocery etc., it is fantastic. The accommodations are spacious albeit not fancy by any stretch. The staff was friendly and rooms were clean.

Great place for travelling with kids/family. Not so much if you are looking for something romantic or "swanky."

I'm considering the Miburn as well for a trip in late August. I've got another post going about visiting NYC with a toddler and several people have also recommended it. It seems to be a good place with a child since it's on the UWS, close to Central Park, comfortable, and clean. Having a suite set-up is really nice as well. We're leaning very heavily towards booking a 1 bedroom suite there.
