Middlebury,VT Question

Can someone in this beautiful area tell me if (by any lucky chance), there are any rumors of rebuilding the Dog Team Tavern? What a tragic loss that was!

Havent heard a thing about the rebuilding. From what I understand though, zoning may prevent the rebuilding of the bulding. Aparently the restaurant was "grandfathered".
While it is sad it's gone, I don't think rebuilding could EVER replace the original.
You can buy their famous sticky buns in supermarkets now though!

I also believe reports said that the former owner died in the fire, down in his apartment.....

Very sad. It was a wonderful and very unique place to go! (We loved how they took reservations -- and then, when you were seated, your SOUP or salad were THERE immediately!)

Yes...the owner died in the fire. It finally came out that he set the place on fire and committed suicide. Very sad.
