Havent heard a thing about the rebuilding. From what I understand though, zoning may prevent the rebuilding of the bulding. Aparently the restaurant was "grandfathered".
While it is sad it's gone, I don't think rebuilding could EVER replace the original.
You can buy their famous sticky buns in supermarkets now though!

I also believe reports said that the former owner died in the fire, down in his apartment.....
Very sad. It was a wonderful and very unique place to go! (We loved how they took reservations -- and then, when you were seated, your SOUP or salad were THERE immediately!)
