May 2 - NYers invited to join 23 Swiss for food, drinks & bra shedding
A NEW YORK GET TOGETHER!
When: Monday, May 2
Where: Jeremy's Ale House, Front Street
Time: 6 pm onwards.
http://www.jeremysalehouse.com/
I'm taking a group of 23 Swiss adults for a short trip to New York. We come from Central Switzerland, where Swiss-German is spoken. Most attend my evening English courses and would love to have a chance to use their new-found knowledge of English and have a cultural exchange. We go on trips every year but this is the first time we've gone beyond the European borders.
Ages of my adults: 25 - 58
If we have sparked your interest, please reply to this thread. And if you have any old bras, bring them along. They'll be a great conversation piece. I've heard New Yorkers have a brilliant way of recycling them.

P.S. And if you're interested in attending a Mets game with us on May 3, see my other thread.

Wow, is Jeremy's still around? Back in the day, it was customary for people on Wall Street to cut their colleague's tie when he made his first sale or trade. Of course, no one wears ties anymore and women are far more willing to be exhibitionists so the ties would just clutter up the place now.
I do hope they still serve beer in the giant styrofoam cups.
When you come stumbling out at midnight or later, nothing better than Wo Hop at 17 Mott Street for Chinese food at a place open all night.
Those were the days. Jeremy's post work, Limelight nightclub, Wo Hop at 4:00 a.m., a raging hangover the next day.
I appreciate the invite, but I had my Jeremy's days 20 years ago. I don't like hitting up old haunts, it kills the memories.
