Luxor or Treasure Island?

I would like some feedback on these two properties. We would go in August with our 2 teens, 14 and almost 17. I am choosing the wrong properties?

Definitely choose Treasure Island. It is a very nice atmosphere for the entire family. There is a large game room on the bottom level for kids as well as adults to enjoy and you will all enjoy the Pirate Ships show outside at night. Eat at the buffet at the Mirage next door.

Treasure Island is in a more central spot and it will so hot then that walking will be tiring. Your kids with like all the activity there and the mall next to it is very nice and Caesar's is right there with the Mirage. Have a great trip.

I have been to both hotels, and prefer Treasure Island. They have a nice pool, and a good arcade for the kids. I hated the Luxor, in fact we checked out after 2 nights and went to the Monte Carlo instead. Just a word of warning about going in August. We went with out kids in August and the heat was tremendous. People told us it is "dry heat" so it's not as bad... wrong.. it was bad!!! It was very very hot, and it limits your outdoor activites. There are a few nice sites to visit (Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Hoover Dam), and we had a very difficult time with the heat. Well over 100 degress, and one day it hit 113 degrees. Be prepared !!

Hi!
I agree with all of the above. We liked Treasure Island's atmosphers and the central location. We walked to both ends of the strip. (Not both the same day!) Your teens would love the location!
