Looking for restaurant tips in Indian Rocks Beach area
Spending next week in the Indian Rocks Beach area and looking for restaurant suggestions. We will have a car and don't mind driving but looking to stay within a 15-20 minute trip. We have previously stayed at Madeira Beach and eaten at The Friendly Fisherman, Scully's and Conch Republic. Didn't really care for Scully's but the others were solid. Obviously we like seafood but are open to other suggestions. Our kids are 10 and 8, and very good and adventurous eaters. We will be eating out most of our nights so we are looking for mostly moderately priced ($15-25/entree) places. Thanks in advance for the help!

I guess I could at least list the ones that I have heard about that are nearby.

This is our Christmas eve meal. Seems to be highly recommended, but probably too far for you.

Will do, willowjane. Had lunch at Crappy Bill's yesterday...PLEASE skip it! Dinner at Friendly Fisherman, which I have previously stated we really enjoy. It did not disappoint again but the service was a little less than stellar last night.

willowjane, other than listed above we ate at PJ's, Keegan's, Conch Republic, The Pub and De Losa's Pizza. All were pretty good. Conch Republic is the best and we have eaten there 3-4 times between our two trips to the area. We have also eaten at De Losa's before and it is a great place for a break from seafood if you need one. The Pub has a great water view but it is slightly overpriced because of that view IMHO. You can easily do apps and then share an entree though and that worked well. The she-crab soup at Keegan's is pretty good and I appreciated it because I sent a lot of time in Charleston as a kid and it is hard to find on menus outside of the Low Country.
We visited the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. It was great for 2-3 hours in a slightly rainy day. We saw "A Dolphin Tale" with our girls while we were in town and so wished that we had time to swing down to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium where the movie was filmed.
We also headed over to Orland for a day to do Universal's Island of Adventure, especially for the Harry Potter area. It is for sure doable for a day trip.
I have reviewed all of the mentioned restaurants in detail on trip advisor. If you want anymore details, let me know. Enjoy!
