Lodging in Kennebunkport

Two adults planning on spending about three nights in Kennebunkport in early Sept. looking for advice on lodging. Prefer to be near water and within walking distance to Dock Square. Ads for the Yachtsman Lodge look good although there are so many places it is hard to pick. Prefer not to spend much over $200. per night. Also, is this a good time to go? Is everything open? Thanks for any help.

Great time to go unless it is Labor Day weekend.

Also, weeknights are less expensive if that's an option.

The Nonantum is also beautiful just a little further up the river from Yachtsman. Check out the Kennebunkport Inn right in Dock Square. Lower priced place is Kingsport, not on water, but right up the street from Dock Square. I would do Yachtsman, Nonantum, Kennebunkport Inn and last choice Kingsport

It is a beautiful time to go and everything is open. You'll love it!!

You might check out The Maine Stay Inn and the Captain Lord Mansion, both within walking distance to Dock Square.
