Las Vegas – Los Angeles .. drive or fly
Hi
We are planning on driving from Vegas to Los Angeles as part of our trip without overnighting. Can you recommend a scenic route and why .. or are we best to save time and fly to LAX instead.
Thanks

Drive vs fly is about the same time when you consider early arrival to bag claim exit. The interstate route is the same scenery as any alternative. If you haven't spent much time driving the Southwest, you should drive.

freddofrog,
The time of day and the day of the week you plan to make the drive should be a major consideration! Friday afternoon/evening traffic to Las Vegas is horrible and can add hours to your drive - again depending on exactly WHEN you expect to be on the road.
That said, I've done the drive many, many times and its extremely boring to me. Plus gas along the way is super expensive.
If you can find a good airfare - fly!

I'm w/ mrwunrfl. There is no way to give you useful advice w/o more info.
Day of week, time of day, number of people, and where in LA you are going -- ALL can make a huge difference in what makes sense/doesn't

Allegiant Airlines flies from Las Vegas to Long Beach. http://www.allegiantair.com/
They make good bundles of flights-tours-shows and rental cars.
If the we is 3 or more people, a rental car from Las Vegas will be cheaper. Gas is cheaper in Nevada than California.
