Key West Restaurant Info Needed.

Going to Key West soon for for the first time. I need a very nice, and it can be quaint too, restaurant to celebrate a birthday dinner in, preferably Italian or Continental food. Thanks.

If you'll do a web search for The Menu in Key West, you'll find many of the restaurants' menus detailed. That should at least supply you with a starting point.

Had a very nice upscale dinner at Cafe des Artists a couple of years ago. You may be able to find my thoughts on it by doing a search for "Key West Trip Report".

Mangia-Mangia, has great Italian. I also like Blue Heaven, kind of funky, great food and Pepe's.

I love Pepe's, but it's not exactly upscale. The food, however, is incredible, and there's a great atmosphere in the place. Don't miss the Key Lime pie.

Antonios is a must if you like Italian food.....we went there three times in one week this year...I think it is the best in Key West....also good fish dishes.....you will find key west residents here!!!! They have an upstairs also but we prefer downstairs.....good wine list, excellent service and always very busy....be sure and book ahead!!!!Alice's la Te Da isand Square One are also good but Antonio's wins the blue ribbon..particularly if you are thinking Italian

Antonios is wonderful and should be just what you are looking for.........it is a local favorite right on Duval......Fish as well as Italian specialities is EXCELLENT, wine list is good, and the waiters are very professional but not at all stuffy,,,,,we went there three times this year on our annual winter stay in key west.....Alice's La Te da and Square One would also be nice for a Birthday dinner(both have outdoor seating and Continental cuisine) but Antonios would be my first choice.....We prefer to be seated downstairs but they have an upstairs that might be desirable for a large party ...call ahead as they are always busy!
