It is really snowing hard here at my house. It's beautiful. This is a historical moment in time for us!

We were in New Orleans when it snowed on Christmas Day in 2004 - simply magical! (And that's coming from a Canadian who's used to snow.)

More photos rolling in at
nola.com

It's huge flakes of heavy snow. It is so magical to see this heavy snow falling over the background of New Orleans architecture.

Rare and wonderful!

Check out the southeastern radar (2100 mile view) on weather.com. It's a very interesting-looking storm.

Have fun NOLA!

How fun!!

Although I felt bad for a girl walking off to school in one of the videos. She had on a thin skirt, tights, dress shoes, a sweater and what looked like a cotton hoodie.

She is going to be so miserable about 5 minutes after she leaves range of the camera!

The Weather Channel has been showing a cool clip of snow pouring down on Andrew Jackson in Jackson Square of the French Quarter - right in front of the St. Louis Cathedral.

It was beautiful and perfect, and it really does put you in the Christmas spirit!

Here's a link to the N.O. French Quarter web cam. You can go back to the morning hours and see our snowy day.

The best view imo is at 11 AM, after the snow has slowed down and you can see the FQ and cathedral rooftops.

I am thrilled that it is snowing there - it must be beautiful, and raining here, or these torrential showers and flooding would be backbreaking shoveling!

A win win! Great picture of the trolley!
