Ideas for fly fishing locale (& self-catering lodging) in SW Fla. in Nov.

Jump to last reply

We'll be in Fla. in Nov., and my husband is a fly fisherman, so we're looking for places he could conveniently fish. We'll be bringing our kayaks, so he could use that for a boat or possibly do a motorized boat rental for a couple days. Wading is also fine.

We prefer the old Fla. idea and aren't looking for glitz, high rises, upscale amenities, fancy eating spots etc. We are more nature lovers who also plan to do kayaking and biking and exploring. A small old-fashioned resort is fine as long as the location is good. We are also open to house rentals. We'd even be up to a couple days of camping if the location is exactly what we are looking for.

Got any ideas for me on the Gulf side? Thanks much.
