help to plan

My husband and I would like to fly from Philly to ARizona, thinking of basing in Sedona, then seeing the national parks and other sights. short trip- maybe 7 nights. Any advice on an itinerary or places to stay? Our budget is flexible. We are 62. retired.

There are three National Parks in Arizona, and I don't believe any of them is conveniently visited with Sedona as a "base."

Which parks do you hope to visit?

WE want ot stay near Sedona, but maybe we should change the plan and stay between Sedona and Bryce, Zion, etc. Is that a plan?

The distances between the national parks in Arizona and Utah are too great for it to be practical to stay in only one place and easily visit the parks. You are talking about hours of driving each day. Better you pick at least two bases for the seven-day trip.

You can try an RV resort. If you put up in East Valley in Mesa, you have the Superstition Mountains, plus easy access to Grand Canyon, Apache Trail,Mogollon Rim, Boyce Thompson etc. There are great options for museum buffs and art lovers too. Could be a plan.

All my best!
