Harbour Beach Marriott Resort in Ft. Lauderdale

We will be staying at this hotel & I wondered if anyone has advise on good restaurants nearby. According to Trip Advisor the hotel restaurant is pricey & not worth it.

True, it is a pricey restaurant. Better deals are available within walking distance or a short taxi ride. The concierge can tell you where.

The restaurants are pricey but depending on whom you ask they also get fairly good reviews for food quality, view, etc.

Your best bet is to take either a cab or use a rental car to get to other eating venues since there aren't a lot of those within easy walking distance

We stayed there in November and asked the concierge about restaurants in the area. We did not have a car and did not want to pay for a taxi. He gave us a map showing various restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. We didn't find anyplace real fancy (which was OK with us), but we did find some good places to eat--Italian, Greek, deli sandwiches, etc.

Close by and good:
Pier 66 - great views and terrific steaks. Expensive
15th Street Fisheries - new chef last year and very good fish dishes. Terrific views
Greek Islands Taverna - great value for Greek food
Chart House - just re-opened in the old CHarley's Crab spot. Terrific and great views!
Lester's Diner - good breakfast.
