Groupon for Calderwood Inn, Healdsburg with optional wine tour
I am planning a trip to San Francisco and Napa/Sonoma in March. From what I've read, Healdsburg looks like a nice place to stay, and I like the idea of being walking distance to a 'downtown' area with restaurants and shops. As I was looking into B&Bs I saw a Groupon deal for Calderwood Inn, with an optional "portfolio wine tour' (apparently inn owners also own several wineries).
The deal is for 2 nights, standard Queen room, $269 without the tour, and $365 with. Contemplating taking advantage of this deal, and adding a 3rd night.
The B&B, based on reviews I looked at, seems pretty good, and this deal is definitely at a savings based on prices elsewhere. I couldn't find much info about the winery tour, and was wondering if it's worth it? I like the idea of an escorted tour with designated driver. We enjoy a nice glass of wine but are far from connoisseurs.

I, too, enjoy a small group winery tour while not being a connoisseur, by any means. To know if the tour is a good deal, why not call the B&B and ask what the usual price is and what's included. It may be that the deal is the accommodation and the tour is at or close to their usual price. The fact that it's off season would contribute as well. You might also ask if you can take advantage of a discount on the tour if you book it after arrival.

Just an update to say everything was great! The B&B perfect, great locations, just a couple of blocks from town, with many good restaurants to choose from. Also did wine tour. Glad we let someone else drive, as after 5 wineries and several sips, definitely glad not to be driving. We were there in March and it rained everyday on and off, but that really wasn't a problem. Our tour only had 1 other couple, so somewhat semi-private.
Breakfast at the B&B were delicious, and room were comfortable, although our room (lower end room w Groupon deal), did not have a traditional stand up shower, just a tub with hand held shower. Other rooms, that we could seem did have traditional shower.
The town is a great spot, and so convenient. Long story, but we got a flat tire on our rental car. A tire place was withing walking distance, so dropped off car (first put air in), then had breakfast. Car was ready after breakfast (needed new tire!). What could have been a major vacation hiccup, turned out to be barely an issue.
