Good food or pizza in midtown Manhattan

Heil. We are heading into Manhattan and need a lunch recommendation. There are five of us and we need something casual, preferably pizza.

Oh geez, I and to say hi all – not Heil! This voice dictation software sometimes makes some crazy inferences

For pizza, you might try John's on 44th Street, near 8th Avenue. It's the Times Square branch of the famous pizzeria on 12th Street and, while mobbed, it's a huge place and waits are usually reasonable. But when are you coming in? John's doesn't take reservations, but it's the best place I can think of in Midtown for pizza.

However, Serafina (a local Italian chain) isn't bad, and they have fairly good pizza and pasta and don't tend to be as busy as John's. There's a Serafina on 55th/Broadway. It's more expensive, though.

I like John's on 44th Street, too. Especially if you sit in the big back area--it used to be a church and it's visually interesting.

Maybe you picked up a German accent while you were in Germany?

Angelo's next to David Letterman on Boradway between 53 and 54 is not bad.

Pizza is not food, it is a way of life.

Pizza is not food, it is a way of life.

Well, that way of life is edible. So perhaps: Pizza is not just food, it is a way of life.
