We will spend 8 nights in Kauai for our honeymoon. Before or after, however it works out, we would like to spend another 4-5 days on one of the other island. We have been to Maui and would like to visit somewhere we haven't been. Where should we go? Where should we stay?

The Big Island. You can fly direct between the two without needing a change of planes in Oahu.

Waikiki on Oahu, for a nice change of pace from Kauai.

oahu was great. it had many many things to do. everyday i had something to do. and like suze, its a change of pace from kauai.

It all depends on your interests. We loved Kauai it was just on a scenic level our fav island. If you are interested in the volcano subjects then go to the Big Island. We found it to be very interesting. I do think Oahu will offer more to see and do. It just depends on your interests. Good choice with Kauai. Congrats also.

You can't go wrong with either one, but I think I'd to to Oahu before Big Island for a 1st time trip of that length - esp. if you are young & enjoy night life.

We really loved the Big Island - beautiful beaches like Hapuna Beach and seeing Volcanoes National Park was amazing. Also really loved Akaka Falls.
