Glacier National Park Boat Tour

We want to do a boat tour while in Glacier National Park, can anyone tell me if the St. Mary tour is more scenic than the Many Glacier tour? It looks like they are the same price and both offer a short easy hike. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Last year, we did both of the tours you mention, plus Two Medicine. We enjoyed them all and I would just do whichever one fits into your schedule. You do get to see Barring Falls on St. Mary, but you actually ride 2 boats on Many Glacier. Many Glacier area is very stunning. Two Medicine is nice as well, you can see Trick Falls at Two Medicine. The optional walks/hikes are short and easy.

IMHO, Many Glacier is by far more scenic.

Thank you, I have reserved the Many Glacier one. I wish we could do the optional hike but the time will not allow us to do it. We have a red bus tour later that day and I am not sure we could swing it all.

So glad to see this thread!

Is it crazy to do the boat trips at Lake McD, St. Mary AND Many Glacier? Also thinking about the trip from Canada back to Goat Haunt...

The family wants to "chill" and not kill ourselves hiking this trip ... so I'm inclined to jump on the boats and do the hikes that are offered from several (3/4?) of the boat trips.

I just spoke w/the "boat people" and things are starting to book up, so I'd like to reserve in advance.

Any advice?

We like to do one fairly strenuous hike each day and take a boat either early morning or late evening to kinda have a little down time. We did every one they had except Lake McDonald. We actually rode a Red Bus from Glacier Park Lodge to Two Medicine Area and then took the boat there.
