Fisherman's Wharf Holiday Inn

Will be in San Francisco in 2 weeks and was only able to get a room at the Holiday Inn @ Fisherman's Wharf. I have heard it is not the best of locales, but I was wondering if anybody has their own opinions on this hotel.

The Holiday Inn at Fisherman's Wharf is very popular; please see the post titled, "San Francisco Hotel Help."

Like the above post mentioned, there were several people on this message board that seemed to like the hotel.
If you want one in a good locale in Fisherman's Wharf, take a look at the Courtyard by Marriott.

The Holiday Inn EXPRESS near Fisherman's Wharf is often recommended, but I haven't heard much good about the HOLIDAY INN near Fisherman's Wharf. I can recommend the Columbus Motor Inn however, probably about the same price range if they have availability.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn EXPRESS at Fisherman's Wharf a few years ago and liked it very much. Basic room, but good location and a good free breakfast.

I was really pleased with the Holiday Inn EXPRESS in Fisherman's Wharf. Room was modern, spacious and best of all, free. (points) I spent almost no time at all in the room and was glad that we didn't go overboard on a luxury hotel. We saved the $$$ for wine country later.
