Family spring break destinations on the N.E. coast

Hello: Any suggestions on family friendly destinations on the N.eastern coast of Florida? I don't know which towns still are "college party towns ". Would be traveling with my wife and sixth grader during the Easter break. I was researching Daytona Beach and St. Augustine Beach, but I am not sure and wanted some local advice. Thank you for you time.

Suggestion.... repost this with Florida in the title. N.E. coast to me is Maine through NJ.

Here are a couple of resources for you:

http://www.visitflorida.com/en-us/tr...s-florida.html

I live in Fort Lauderdale which is not the SB "destination" it once was and many folks are happy about that.

My only question to you is: does it HAVE to be in NE Florida? How about southwest Florida?

If you want a resort, Amelia Island.

If you want a beach town, Fernandina Beach. The bay side is Victorian, the Atlantic side is beach with motels.

Thank you for your advice. Sorry, but I thought since I posted this under Florida it would be assumed which coast I was considering. Will be more clear next time.
