Embassy Suites-Good Place for First Timers?

This is my first trip for my wife and I. We love Embassy Suite hotels. We can get it for just under $ 150.00 the end of March for 4 nights. Is this ok?

Are you talking about New York? That's the only city where $150 for an Embassy Suites would be a particularly good deal, although I do like the chain overall.

Ok, so it's New York. Which Embassy Suites? There are at least 2 that I know of.

Just a spent a week there for business. It's new. Some of the rooms have million dollar views. The service was good. My only complaint -- the wake up call was a rooster. 150 a night is a great deal. I would recommend it except for the location. Unless you are public transportation savvy, it is expensive to get to midtown. (it is not hard to get to midtown on the subway) If you arrive late, their restaurant is not bad. There is also a movie theater and a chinese restaurant in the building. It is close to chinatown and little italy.

Hi LxJ,
The Embassy Suites in Battery Park City (Downtown Manhattan) is walking distance to Tribeca, Soho, Little Italy, Chinatown, Wall Street, ferries to Ellis Island, Staten Island and the Statue of Liberty. It's a very nice hotel and $150 is a good deal. A 5 minute walk to the E train and a 15 minute ride will get you to Midtown Mahattan where the theater district is as well as Macy's, 5th Avenue, Central Park and most major museums. Depending on your interests and plans it could be an ideal location or out of the way. Write again if you have any questions.
