Drive time/distance to Devils Tower from Yellowstone
We are going to Yellowstone later this month. We would be interested in visiting Devils Tower on our way back to Denver. I know it's not exactly on the way back and a bit out of the way. We would be exiting Yellowstone at the East entrance, so if you have an idea of time and distance to Devils Tower from Yellowstone and also time/distance from Devils Tower to Denver. We would also like to know of any budget/mid range accomodation in the Devils Tower area or on the way back to Denver. We have accomodation arranged for the Yellowstone part of the trip. Thanks.

According to googlemaps it's about 412 miles (7 hours drive time) from Yellowstone to Devel's Tower.
Coincidently it's about 408 miles from Devils Tower to Denver and will take you the same 7 hours drive time.
FYI - If you go to googlemaps or mapquest you can get turn by turn directions for each leg of your trip..

Cody to Devil's Tower is, IMO, more scenic than coming up from Denver. Take Atl 14, 14 or 16 across the Bighorn Mountains, a great drive which ever route you take. However, once you hit I-90, it's pretty bland most of the rest of the drive,
