Choice between 2 Marriotts in San Antonio

We will be traveling to San Antonio in February. Since it is a business trip, we have to choose between the Marriott River Center, and the Marriott Riverwalk. Can anyone tell me which one is better?

They are directly across the street from each other. One of them is very large and more conference-oriented (I believe Rivercenter). They are both on the River though and other than the meeting rooms and larger lobby I don't know if there is a major difference.

Thanks for the info. Seems like either one would be fine.

If I'm not mistaken, the Marriott River Center is actually located IN the River Center Mall. When you exit on the mall side, you're right inside the mall.

However, the Marriot Riverwalk is across the street.

As I recall.

We prefer the Riverwalk. The rooms are bigger and some have balconies looking over the Riverwalk.

kopp, you are correct about the hotels locations. By the way, I visited your awesome city yesterday--lots of construction going on downtown, eh?

jd, on tripadvisor.com, there's an outstanding "candid traveler photo" of the two hotels side by side if that helps you at all.

Thanks for the replys. Since I like balconies, I'll go for the Riverwalk.
